There's something about seeing people around me grow up that makes me feel like I haven't been around. Like when I realized my cousins are practically almost out of high school and driving already... Am I getting old? There's so much going on. It's a shame to rush through life. You can miss so much. My mom needs to learn that. She rushes around all the time, as if her job depended on closing the blinds (a la Rex Navarette... "Jay, come here. Come here... close the blinds next to me." She's calling me again. Repeat previous statement.

It's almost hard to believe it's Thanksgiving again. It's good to remember though, that every day is a day to give thanks.

For the shooting star that flashed in the sky around 3:30 as a drove home
For late night conversations at IHOP with my closest friends
For the great winter weather
For the music which flows through my veins
For mafia games with the young'ns
For ditching the last half of class to hang out at the Mesa Court Housing Office with Meechy
For knowing that someone's looking out for me

Give thanks.

Take off
Your cool

I want to
