I don't have any gifts wrapped... I don't even have gifts to wrap...and yet I'm more prepared for Christmas this year than I've ever been. Let something new be born unto you. There's nothing I could buy, nothing that could fit under a tree that could mean more than what this holiday--this holy day--brings.

Spread love. God bless.

Never thought I could sing sweet words to worship you
Never did I realize my feelings could be true
When you wake and should you find me
Slowly wandering away
Please believe that I will come back to stay
Please believe that I will come back to stay

I sing in honor of your love
Even in your sleep you save us
In your slumber do we pray
That no matter how we stray away
Forever we will stay
Within your love

When I sang, sang in honor of your love
I sing in honor of your love
I sing in praises of your good Father up above

When you wake and should you find me
Slowly wandering away
Please believe that I will come back to stay
Please believe that I will come back to stay

Love is a choice. Make the right decision.

Spread love.

Oh man, I had fun today. I'm worn out too. I woke up early (7:00am) to go to work. Thankfully, I'm getting back to some kind of normal sleeping pattern, even though I do still wake up right around dawn. I guess it's better than waking up at 3 pm every day. Work was more tiring than I remember, but then again we have to move more stuff now.

These past few days I've been getting enough of a workout so that skipping a trip to the ARC isn't so bad. I got a good workout when I went to the Catholic Worker yesterday. Those kids... what can I say? I never really felt like I was good with kids, but those kids are great. I've only been there three times, and one time was only for five minutes. I'm sort of getting to know some of their names, but there's sixty kids there... it's really tough. There's Bobby (silly chubby restless kid), Rebecca (with the attitude ten times her size), Serena (the actress), Ciara (the dancer), Chris (who wants my phone), Jessica (the mature one), Jillian (who climbs everybody), Angelino (Chris's bro?), the three Tuans (spelling? I don't know who's who... and supposedly their names are all spelled alike, and they all have a crush on Quinn), Hillary (with the short hair), Samantha (I'm not even sure it's her name), and the little girl with the big cheeks who kept giving us mints. And yet hanging with the kids is a reality check... when I'm walking around outside and the floor's sticky and I don't walk there, but see a kid walking there barefoot... seeing them get ready to sleep outside under tarps... Even when they get crazy and start kicking and mobbing us I can't think bad of them. I wish there was enough time to spend time with them all year round. People need to feel like someone's there for them--not just around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but every day. I think I'll be back tomorrow.

I remembered it's already been four weeks of Advent. It seems so quick. Mabye because two weeks took place during tenth week and finals week. After mass, a bunch of us were hungry, so we got Frank to come pick us up and to grab some food. Geeps and I figured out the timing for Don't stop till you Get Enough by Michael Jackson while we dropped off our cars. Our persuasion worked, and 8 of us--Frank, Tone Loc, Mark Anthony, Edward, Joyce, Mel, Geeps, and I--rolled north on the 405. We tried to get her to drive to Paul's Place (where the roommates and I went on Thursday), but we ended up at Alertos. The line was long, and my stomach was killing me. There was this fudge in the kitchen during mass, and it smelled so strong the whole time. I killed that carne asada fries, and we chilled, suggesting songs for Mark to sing, and re-enacting the knock-knock joke from Catch Me If You Can.

On the drive home, Frank let me drive. We played with the navigation system, trying to take different routes and recalibrating the directions. Then we cheered every time we got off route, like the guys in the Sprint commercial who cheered when it turned 7:00 pm. I decided to take the great Aldrich park "shortcut" and got the navigation system to read "off the digitized road." It was great! We all cheered for that. 8 people in a pilot driving through the park. We dropped off some people and backtracked. Then we honked at some guy and tried to get him to "peace" us, but I think he was just scared because we honked at him. Hahaha. Good stuff. Now I'm freaking tired. Good night world.
