Yesterday I went to Quan's and Chris's birthday party/get-together things. Quan (from high school) had his at Dave and Busters. I've never been there before, but then again, there's plenty of places I haven't been. It was fun, playing pool and talking with those guys. I need to play more bball with them. I hate losing touch with people. My ex was there too. The way we act towards each other now, it seems like we just met or something. I guess that's better than not talking at all. You can't expect anything to be the same after you've been in a relationship. I just found it strange that when I saw her, our relationship seems like I dreamt it. What a trip.

I left for Chris's birthday thing. I think I was the first one there. We played some Mech Warrior on the X-box and just chilled while some other people showed up. They left for BJs and I left for Norms to see if PUSO was still there, but they weren't. Right when I got home, my roommate was leaving for Vons, so I went with her to grab some groceries.

Man, if I don't go to class tomorrow, it'll be a week since I last went to class. That's really bad. Bad bad bad. My roommate was messing with my alarm and turned it off when I was sort of awake, but I fell asleep again. Damn.

So today I had my first birthday party. With friends anyway. Somehow I got stuck with getting the music together. Unfortunately, nobody danced really. Then again, nobody showed up until 10:40. Still, it was great to have most of my friends together in one place. I just wish they could have had fun together, dancing or playing some game or whatnot. I swear, I'm gonna have a bomb ass party at my house before I move out. And people will be dancing. I guess you need a DJ for that though. Who would have thought? DJ = people groovin. Some time in June or July, 2511 Christopher Lane will become Club 2511.

Over the course of the night, I got to wondering a little about how well people know me though. Do I drink? Maybe. Being as it was my birthday, I believe I had a choice. What did I choose, well... how well do you know me? I've blogged about it a few times before...

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight. You're my peeps. My people. Much love.

Yea, I should be sleeping, but I was reading blogs. So I found a link to someone else's blog on a regular one I read. So I actually stumbled across a good 10 blogs of people I know. It's kind of strange, because something is telling me to read everything, while I feel like I'm intruding or something. That's my dilemma for the moment, which is what I get from wondering what other blogs people read. I guess they wouldn't write it if they were uncomfortable with other people reading it. But then again, some people are. As for me, what have I got to hide? For me, this is life, the unabridged edition. My first edition.

It's happening just like last quarter. I think everyone who misses class should get together and go somewhere. Like Lee's Sandwiches or something. Better than staying in bed or sleeping on the couch, right? Maybe not sunjego, because it's hot during the day and it's better to drive at night anyway.

If anybody wants, Thursday May 22, 10:00 pm, 1506 Dartmouth Court. My first real birthday party. Yes, tomorrow. If you're reading this, YOU ARE INVITED. It'll be hella fun, or my middle name isn't Christian. Wait a minute...

Tuesday was fun. With the random YFC visit, hide and seek in engineering plaza (I tagged 2 people!) and the race to interfaith. I'm going to miss Tuesdays over the summer when there's not so much stuff to do. PUSO meetings, PUSO afterevents, LOG meetings, random "spon1080", IM games (which are already over for us anyway), working out. I think it's about time for another Vegas trip. Or not. Possibly a beach day. Or a beach week. Let's have a beach week where we hit up a different beach every day. That'll be phat. Ninth week. Who's driving? If not, we'll have to go to class, and we all know that's not going to happen. For some of us at least...

So many birthdays, so little time. Happy berfday Arlene, Alvin, Alfredo, Quan, Chris.......

The first time I've been caked...
was last night.
The second time I've been caked...
was also last night.
But I can't say it didn't enjoy all of it. That's what I love about birthdays... when everyone gets together and you get to see all your friends at the same time. I was blogging at 3 am last night when somebody knocked on the door. I was kindoba freaked out because who visits that late? I saw candle light in the window though. What an awesome surprise. Despite the last-minute planning and logistics, (trying to figure out where I was and whatnot) I really didn't expect it. Not that late at least. 15 or so Loggers and 2 cakes. Plus a surprised 22-year old. That Reg foo was the first to cake me. Right in my glasses. It wasn't too bad though, so I wiped most of it off. And then I got that Reg foo back. I forgot to watch out for mom though, and she got me. I didn't waste any time counter-caking mom. I got it all up in her hair because she tried to fight it. Good stuff. After all the cake madness and obligatory group pictures, everyone called it a night. My roommates schemed to surprise me too. My roommate planned to meet me at the ARC and then drive me over to this Japanese place, but I feel asleep at home, so he came back and said he wanted to drive my car. Surprise surprise! Hehe. I'm not that easily fooled... but I have all sorts of ideas for surprises now. The food was great. I ordered a bowl of seafood ramen (the real kind), 8 california rolls, and fried dumplings. I somehow managed to finish most of my food. Man, it was good. We made fun of each other for a while. It was nice because when we're at home we usually talk all together like that. I left to go to my first PUSO board meeting. I'm excited about next year. I came back home and my roommates surprised me with another cake. That makes 5 all together (2 from home, 2 from LOG, and 1 from my roommates). I hope they help me finish all that cake. Plus, they bought me some nice bball shorts.

To all the people who came over last night: you're all my peoples... my family... I love you guys.
To those wanted to come over last night: I love you guys too.
To everyone else who brightened up my days: Thanks.
I'm truly blessed.

time for some good old random pic posts:

is mom constipated?

YFC? because!

good job!

Wow... my Liwanag family is the bomb.org. But if there's one thing I learned in the last 2 hours, it's never to turn your back on that Reg foo. Or mom for that matter. Let's have a party at my place! Can't let a good house not be put to use, right?
I think I'm coming down with something. I don't think the whole pool thing at San Leon helped. Or the late nights. I'mma do a rewind... (yep, that means everything is backward!!)

** Early Monday **
- My eyes are burning. And my nose is slowly dripping. Yet my sinuses are killing me. Damn.
- Unpacking the food my mom gave me from home and laughing at how she wraps everything in foil
** Late Sunday **
- Cruising down PCH to Crescent Bay (last quarter's spontaneous beach spot), letting the ocean drown out the noise of life. The dark harvest moon and the still, almost warm air...
- Leaving home on a bad note, with my parents bugging me about grades. I didn't feel like telling them how badly I did last quarter. Still, they insisted on me getting a grade report for the car insurance discount which I'm sure I'm not going to qualify for...
- Jumping on my brother's back... and him grabbing my legs... and both of us falling on the driveway... and scratching my new phone. Boooooo
- My mom has a clock that's 15 minutes ahead permenently wired into her brain. She's always rushing to do something. Even when it's nothing.
** Early Sunday **
- I forgot to bring my shorts home, so I slept in my old PE shorts from junior high school. That was back when I was about 85 lbs., and they were even small back then. So now I'm about 162 lbs...
- I wish they didn't charge for those polymorphic ringtones. I spent 8 bucks for 7... but at least my rings will be nice. I have 5 left. Got to choose wisely...
** Late Saturday **
- Roma wanted her keyboard back, which I had in my trunk for about a month. I was leaving for home, so I went to go drop it off, except I forgot to get the adapter, so we both rolled back to my place to look for it. I tore apart my room (literally) looking for it. After a good 30 minutes, my roommate suggested that it was probably in my trunk still. I didn't see it when I looked last time. So I looked. Ooops. Sorry Roma.
- I tried to get out of the house early, but the Mavericks-Kings game was so close... and I had to get the copies of pictures that my mom's been asking about for the past 10 months or so...
- My roommate had a coupon for 8 dollar lunches at Black Angus. We all rolled out to Fountain Valley and finally found the Black Angus at 2. And it was closed till 3. So we ate and talked at Tommy's till 4.
- Those crazy Loggers decided to jump into the San Leon pool with all their pajamas on. I didn't want to at first, and I was feeling a little sickly. But how often do I jump into pools [almost] fully clothed anyway? So I did it. But only because Dee and Derrick were jumping at the same time. And Beej soon followed. But that was because Derrick and I broke our guys pact not to jump in. After some chicken fighting, Marco Polo-ing, and random craziness, David, Em, Beej, Shelby, and I took a shower together. Nice. I think NG joined in too.
** Early Saturday **
- A bunch of us Loggers slept over at San Leon, watching Real World/Road Rules stuff on MTV and having random conversations till the sun came up.
- 14 Loggers watching the Matrix Reloaded. Hella fun. Even waiting in line, although they vastly overestimated the wait for the 12:30 Friday showing. Freakin NG foo and Pirate Kathee didn't even see all of the first Matrix. Silly freshpeople.
** Late Friday **
- I finished up cleaning up for the AME church thing with Geeps, Mel, Beej, and David... and even got to shoot some garbage-can hoops with Wade. We loaded all the stuff in SSLH, where YFC was practicing for Praisefest. I wish I would have made the practices, but I'm sure they're going fine... at least I got to lend my spotlights.
- Hooters for the PUSO HSO reunion dinner. I wasn't really hungry, but I grubbed on wings regardless. Those PUSO peeps are a fun bunch. Too bad I was only there for a little while
- Drove around Newport looking for a Staples with GP so the AME people could get some CDRs. Woulda been great if we could have kept the change...
- Chilling for a bit at Interfaith while Joyce and the noon mass choir practiced
- Free food (!!!) from the AME people after setting up for the second day. Free food and a cool 100 bucks. Not too shabby at all.
- Feeding Cristina, GNat, Leo, and Derrick some lasagna at my place and watching Oceans 11 while the food coma set in, seeing them freak out when Malcolm the cat wigs out
- Getting to campus late for Peter the Anteater with YFC, and then finding out that I gave Nhut my registration too late and they would lose too many points if I ran. Ah Boo... I guess it turned out okay because I was thinking I didn't really feel like running that day and I ended up bumping into Cristina walking back to my car.
** Not so early Friday**
- Once again waking up past noon because I slept after the sun came up. Sleep is important!
** Late Thursday **
- Watched the Matrix Reloaded for the first time with my roommates. Why Thursday? I addressed that two posts ago. We waited in line for about an hour and a half, watching ALL the Sigma Pi's somehow merge into the line which by then was practically a tight crowd about 15 wide... and then somehow they all got in front of us. But we got nice seats anyway and it was a phat movie. Can't wait for the Matrix Revolutions.
- Played the Sigma Pi's for intermural bball at the ARC. I didn't score again, but we played pretty well as a team for the first time. Damn them for being so huge. Two of their guys had to be around 280 lbs of muscle. My roommate, Alfredo and I chilled for a bit afterwards and watched the other IM teams and thought about how unfair it is that we got stuck in comp league.
- My first work in more than a year, with the AME church doing sound setup and general setup. There was a cute girl counting the cases of water as I unloaded them. Hehe... kids can be so cute.
