for all the worst and all the best...

The way back was the best drive I've had in a long long time. The clouds peeked over the mountains, leaving nothing white, nothing black, but everything inbetween. The traffic flowed like water, even when slowing down to a stop, it allowed me to appreciate the world around me, sitting straight and upright in my seat, one hand on the sterring wheel, both ears engulfed in melodies, and my mind being carried off to better places. Definitely one of the best parts of my day.

I sit here with the lights off and my eyes closed, and I feel myself shrink into a different plafce. Not quite outside myseelf, but not inside anything. I haven't given myself time to back off and reflect on things. Right now, I'm so confident in my insecurities, and insecure in my confidence. It's not a bad thing though. This is no small upheaval.

Pizza and bowling was fun, even though I somehow managed to bowl a 41. Most people have to try to get a score that bad. Not my sport, I guess. At least everyone enjoyed themselves. If it wasn't so expensive, I'd be better. Or not.

Watch the leaves turn.

... i am blessed

Work it out now. 1pm-1:15pm. 1:30pm-3:30pm. 4:30pm-5:15pm. 6:30pm-7:30am tomorrow. Days like this make me appreciate the fact that a job is just what it is. A job. Life happens between the lines. I'm a little sad that I missed out on some things tonight, but there's so much going on, you have to choose at some point. This overnight thing has been an interesting experience. A nice glimpse into paternal responsibilities. Man, I'm so young, yet so old.

What a good weekend. Batting cages, Yoshinoyas, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and midnight parking lot football on Friday, 10 episodes of 24 and Starbucks runs on Saturday, work, mass, Albertos, naps, practice, and Taco Bell on Sunday. Pretty soon, there will be snow in them mountains, and the air will be cool all day long. Man, I love winter.
