Cleaning my room is always a trip. I can attribute that to laziness, seeing as I can't remember the last time I threw out anything that don't quite need anymore. I have notes and junk mail from freshman year taking up precious floor space in my room. Well, not anymore. I stuffed it all in a box. I need a bed. Well, I need a matress. I'm tired of sleeping on the futon. Most of the foam is either flat or stiff, and everyone steps over (or on) my bed to move around the room. I just have to get the old tv stand out of the room. No simple task, but I'm not going to let this drag on much longer.
Despite sleeping at 3am, I half woke up for no apparent reason at 9:30, and got out of bed pretty easily at 10:30. I had a pretty crazy dream too. I moved back in with my old roommates into a tiny apartment. Before we got all our stuff moved in though, they had a little party. I was drinking and they all got drunk, and someone spilled their drink all over my white suit, but it was okay because it didn't get stained (where do I get this stuff?) After things calmed down a little bit, I tried to find some place to sleep, because there were 5 or 6 of us there, and only 3 rooms, and they were already occupied. I checked the front door (it was nighttime), and it was wide open, and hanging crooked off the hinges (like our door now at Madrona), so I tried to pull it straight and close it, but Debbie was coming up the stairs with some stuff to move in. That's all I remember. I didn't quite realize it was a dream until a few minutes after I woke up, so I was expecting to have a hangover or something (not like I would know) when I heard my alarm. Crazy.
One foot's in the door, and the other one has a mismatched shoe, but no matter how I've started, I'm going to finish. Assuming there is a finish.

After all of the torrential rain yesterday, which was pretty nice, and the drive home from Brea, which was also pretty nice, I noticed the rain streaked off most of my car and it seemed as if I'd just washed it. It's just one of those things...

puddles and wet shoes
band groupies
high school attitude
last minute pickups
missing shoes
cds on loan
crazy dreams

yikes

the cup runeth over

I haven't seen this much rain since I was a kid in elementary school. I like it. I wonder if it's ever rained in Irvine before. That would be dope. Things are going on left and right, and I haven't had time to let the newness of the new year sink in yet. I need to wake up early sometime so I can process everything. For now, it's back to 1.5X fast forward.
